Since kick boxing includes various kicking and punching techniques, gloves, helmets and mouth guards must be used. People who want to specialize in this sport should be trained correctly and base their strength on a technique that is in accordance with the rules. The number of licensed athletes in kick boxing in our country is approximately 190,000. Athletes who have licenses are increasing day by day.

Branches of Kick Boxing
Kick Boxing consists of 7 branches in total. These branches are as follows;
1- Light Contact,
2- Point Fighting,
3- Low Kick,
4- K 1 Rules,
5- Full Contact,
6- Kick Light and
7- Musical Form.
Among these branches are Point Fighting, Kick Light and Light Contact tatami sports. Tatemi sports are sports performed on a floor mat between 6 x 6 meters or 8 x 8 meters.
Effective Techniques in Kick Boxing
There are various techniques in Kick Boxing. These techniques are divided into hand techniques, foot techniques and techniques made with jumping motion. Hand techniques are divided into 6 different types;
- upper block,
- lower block,
- Stomach level block,
- Fist side,
- Fist back,
- It's a straight punch.
Foot techniques in kick boxing are divided into 6 different types. These;
1- Side kick,
2- Front kick,
3- Broom,
4- Circular kick,
5- Ax kick,
6- Crescent is kicking.
Apart from these techniques, there are also jumping techniques. In sports, especially if there is a competition, each of the hand and foot techniques is tried to be used equally in the competition. Foot techniques are usually applied when you are in the function of hitting the opponent strongly.
Kickboxing Starting Age
From a general point of view, Kick Boxing is suitable for everyone over 7 years old. In other words, anyone from 7 to 70 can specialize in this sport. When the Kick Boxing athlete license age is considered, this age is 8. Kickboxing licenses can be issued for children from the age of 8 onwards.
Kick Boxing is a sport that is trained in every province in our country. Especially in provinces, sports clubs and private sports centers provide this training. This sport is also shown as a lesson in the educational institutions given by the Turkish Armed Forces. Kick boxing trainers are given to trainers by the Turkish Kick Boxing Federation. The people who give these trainings have a Coaching Certificate.
